Players are allowed to create their own Custom Factions based on the built-in Factions. Upon Amplitude's completion of the Vaulters, they were released via free DLC. The Vaulters faction is a formerly unfinished faction accessible through the Founder Edition of Dungeon of the Endless. The Harmony faction was added in the expansion pack Endless Space: Disharmony. The faction was created by Panzer, a member of the Endless Space community. The Automatons faction was added in the " Rise of the Automatons" free add-on. The Sheredyn faction is a special faction included with the Emperor Edition of the game, but is functionally identical to the United Empire unless Endless Space: Disharmony has been downloaded, in which case it gains its own unique traits. Each has their own history and unique traits and bonuses. These are the unique rewards (as opposed to ones which are just randomly-chosen strategics/luxuries/one-time-FIDSI-boosts/etc) which only this faction has access to, earned by completing their faction quest. Culture Jam Centers: (Building, Unique) +50 on System.Whapster: (Building, Unique) +20 on System.These are the rewards for a quest any faction can receive simply for having >10 Sophon population on at least two systems. Innovative: This empire will try to research a lot of technologies and unlock new stages of technology first. Pacifist: This empire will sign contracts more easily, try to maintain alliances and will favor peace. Political opinion less impacted by events. Omniscience: A bonus is given for discovering technologies based on how many players have already researched it: the fewer who know it, the higher the reduction on the next research. ![]()
